RELEASE DATE: APRIL 29, 2008

GENRE: THIRD PERSON SHOOTER / ACTION ADVENTURE

This is the game of all games that made me purchase a Playstation3. I have owned the game for almost a year now, and I've yet to beat it. I'm so occupied with doing all the side missions, going to the strip club, playing pool, bowling, and going out on a date. Sounds like my real life, but it's all in one wicked game. This is why I have to rank this game the number one greatest game of all time. The Grand Theft series have all been hits, but I chose to place only this one on my "Best Games of All Time" list. Every other Grand Theft game deserves to be on that list, however if they were I wouldn't have enough room for all the other games that deserve credibility. San Andreas would have been number 2, and Vice City following behind. In this edition you play as Neiko, a Russian immigrant fresh off the boat and now in Liberty City. And of course, time to go out and make a name of yourself. With the help of cousin Roman, Neiko will embark on a journey of being a hired goon, begginng his climb to the top of the criminal billboard charts. You will be able to free roam through Liberty City, stealing cars, running people over, resisting arrest, doing whatever you want basically. There are many side missions which allow you to become friends with the characters Neiko interacts with such as Roman. The friend missions will give Neiko more respect and popularity, which allows Neiko much needed benefits throughout the games. There are so many options when playing this game. Sometimes its hard to keep up with the friend missions. If you ignore the friend missions, your popularity and respect will decrease with that friend. You will also lose the friend benefits. In the beginning of the game Roman gives you a cellphone, which you can use to keep in touch with the criminal system. This is how your friends will reach you when they need you, or just want to hang out. They will also text you. You use your phone to input cheat codes, and access all your other options for the game. You can also engage in the online multiplayer mode through your phone. There are many different game modes for the online action. I have a blast every time I play the "Deathmatch" mode. It's an all out war; everyone against everyone. It never gets boring. You gain rank on multiplayer mode which unlocks more uniforms and clothes. I can go on for miles writing about this game. Unless you play it, you will not know the full experience. I give this game a 10 out of 10.
